DMIM was invited to the 20th Techforum and Alizee talk on the Moving Image astounded all these people who discovered for the first time the archaeology of the digital mediums
The end of the school year saw the museum fully booked with school visits, it is such a joy to see the space filled with kids! We are now operating reduced opening times during the Holy month of Ramadan and we are preparing new programs for the next school year.
Great time was had by all and we want to express a great thank you to all our visitors, teachers and kids.
Hot on the heels of Comic Con which was a great success for us we are now at Street Con 2015.
Be One With Art. The Dubai Moving Image Museum is very pleased to announce its participation in Street Con 2015. This second edition of Al Ghurair Centre’s Urban Art Jam is the perfect place to discover more than 50 local and international artists getting involved on varied art activities. Visitors will be immersed in the urban art scene as they explore live interactive graffiti walls, exhibitions, art installations and public art pieces in the inner roads along Al Ghurair Centre.
Save the date: Visit the museum stall from April 23 to May 2, 4pm-10pm, Al Ghurair Centre.

This Thursday December 18th, the Dubaï Moving Image Museum will host the DMIM Filmmakers Night from 7-9PM. Presented by Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC), this is the first of a monthly event that showcases local and regional talent. Come along for a night of film screenings, moderated Q&A’s and industry mixer.

The Dubai Moving Image Museum is creative partner at ISEA 2014, as well as participating in the Al Bidaya Opening at Cuadro Art Gallery we are also present throughout the event. Alizee is part of various round tables including Evolution of Storytelling and Leap of Animation with amongst others Lina Younes from Animation Chamber Dubai and Erkki Huhtamo from UCLA. DMIM is also hosting visits by delegates during the 10 days event.
George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin visited DMIM whilst in Dubai, they particularly enjoyed our Kayser Panorama a wonderful piece of 19th century 3d entertainment! George Clooney was amazed to discover all that went on before and lead to the birth of the cinema.
